Privacy Policy
What this covers
This policy explains what Artiara collects when you use the app, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the Artiara mobile app and to https://artiara.in. Artiara is run by Qytsol Technologies, which is responsible for your data.
What we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work:
- Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code. We never see or store a password.
- A display name, if you choose to add one.
- Your preferences: who you shop for and your sizes, so the feed shows relevant pieces.
- Your activity in the app: which products you swipe on, save to your wishlist, and tap through to buy. This drives your feed and your wishlist.
- A photo, only when you choose one for photo search. It is sent to Google's Gemini service to find similar products, and the photo itself is not stored by us.
- Basic technical data sent by your device when it talks to our servers, such as IP address and app version, used for security and to keep the service running.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes or hits an error, a report with the error, device model, operating system, app version and your account's random ID (never your email) is sent so we can fix it.
- Anonymous usage counts: which products get opened and which search terms are used, with how many results they found. These are not linked to your account and are used to improve the catalogue.
What we do not collect
- No payment or card details. Purchases happen on the retailer’s own website, under their terms and privacy policy.
- No location, contacts or microphone access. Camera and photo access are asked for only when you tap the camera icon in Search, and only for that photo.
- No advertising identifiers, and we do not show ads.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To personalise your feed and keep your wishlist.
- To understand which products and brands people engage with, in aggregate, so we can improve the catalogue.
- To keep the service secure and to investigate abuse.
Affiliate links
When you tap Buy, you leave the app for the retailer’s website. Many of those links are affiliate links: they pass through an affiliate network (currently Cuelinks) which may set a cookie on your browser so that, if you buy something, Artiara earns a commission from the retailer. This does not change the price you pay. The affiliate network’s handling of that cookie is governed by its own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that run the app:
- Supabase, which hosts our database and sign-in. Your account data is stored on their infrastructure.
- Our email provider, which delivers your sign-in codes.
- Google (Gemini API), which receives the text you search for and any photo you choose for photo search, so we can find matching products. We use the paid tier, under which Google does not use this data to train its models.
- Sentry, which receives crash reports so we can find and fix errors. Reports contain technical details and your account's random ID, not your name, email or searches.
- Affiliate networks, which receive only the fact that a click came from Artiara — never your name or email.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Product images and prices
Product photographs are loaded directly from the retailers’ own servers; they belong to those retailers and brands. Prices and availability are collected from retailers and refreshed regularly, but the retailer’s website is always the final word.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, preferences, swipes, wishlist and click history are deleted immediately. Aggregate statistics that no longer identify you may be kept.
Crash reports contain only your account’s random ID, never your email, and are deleted automatically by our crash-reporting provider after its retention period, 90 days at most.
Your choices
- Edit your name and preferences any time from the Profile tab.
- Delete your account from the Profile tab. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
- No longer have the app? Request deletion at https://artiara.in/delete-account.
- Ask us anything about your data at hello@artiara.in.
Children
Artiara is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
